Mill Creek Fram

My prior knowledge of farming is growing all different types of vegetables and fruits. Also having various types of animals. The Mills Farm was some what similar to what i thought was farming. For example they did have various types of vegetables and fruits. The only thing that it was lacking was the animals. It was different from typical farming by the fact that they had a lot of things recycled and or things to help the environment and also they are located in the city. For example they have a Living Roof or you could call it a Green Roof, which helps the plants grow and also stop the street gutters from getting flooded. Some interesting things I learned about was:

  • Storm water management

  • Creek Mills Farm was there for 5 years

  • Bees help grow fruit trees

  • Green Roofs help cut down energy use

  • Compost toilets helps save water

  • Solar Panels help power up the main building
